Gibson L-4 (1950)

Description

Player's grade 1950 Gibson L-4 just into the shop for consignment ~ an ideal instrument for anyone looking to add a vintage acoustic archtop to their stable at a nice price! This guitar has been a true workhorse for many years ~ from a local family of touring musicians, it was played heavily in jazz and old-time contexts. There's heavy playwear to the body and neck (please see photos) and several repaired top cracks (stable work, and the guitar performs well). The sound is big, open and woody, with lots of volume -- a great guitar whether you play in acoustic jams or a duo setting where you want to get your Dave Rawlings on as a melody player. 1 11/16" nut width, 24.9" SL. Original condition, minus its pickguard. Priced with vintage Gibson hard case. No trades, please.
