This Collings CW in Brazilian Rosewood and Adirondack Spruce has just come into the shop for consignment! Modeled after the guitar made famous by Clarence White and Tony Rice, the CW is the bluegrasser's Collings: its enlarged soundhole provides added power in the low midrange, making it an ideal anchor in a band context. This particular guitar has exceptional shimmer in the high end, and an attractive darkness when strummed aggressively. For anyone in search of a Collings dreadnought with a mix of their "Standard" series snap and "Traditional" series warmth -- this guitar would be a strong contender.
Condition: this guitar presents beautifully, but does sport a couple noticeable top dings when examined closely. It's been played, but it's also been well-maintained. The setup remains excellent, with healthy saddle height and low action when string with .013 gauge strings. Priced with its original TKL hard case. On consignment; shipping calculated at checkout.
