This 2016 000-28 from luthier John Slobod (aka Circa Guitars) has just come in for consignment! Those who follow our website know how highly we respect John's instruments: the beauty of craftsmanship they exhibit is unparalleled in the luthier-grade landscape, and few guitars come close to their tonal complexity. This instrument, a riff on a late 1920's Martin 000-28, is incredibly rich sounding, and rewards a fingerstyle attack with silky, shimmery tones across all six strings. The low end is robust and focused, the mids crisp and punchy, and the trebles round and full all the way up the neck. If you've been hunting for a Brazilian Rosewood Circa guitar, this one gets our highest marks for richness of voice!
Condition: there's not much to say, really. Although pre-owned, this guitar is as clean as such instruments come. The surfaces are blemish-free, as are the EVO frets. The action measures 3/32" (bass side) and 2/32" (treble side) under tension of light-gauge strings, with adequate saddle height should the next owner want to lower the setup. Upgraded with fossilized walrus ivory bridge pins and end pin, made by luthier Burton Legeyt. Priced with Ameritage hard case. On consignment; shipping calculated at time of purchase.
