This 1991 Santa Cruz Tony Rice Anniversary model is #5 of a batch of 10 guitars made to commemorate the working relationship between Richard Hoover and Tony Rice. This instrument was formerly owned by Dexter Johnson, who supplied the Brazilian Rosewood for the entire run of guitars. This guitar was used by Tony Rice when he and David Grisman performed a concert in support of the "Tone Poems" record in 1994 (a letter from Johnson attesting to this fact is included with the guitar). What can we say? If it's good enough for Tony Rice -- case closed. A very powerful, supremely rich and open sounding guitar, with the warmth, roundness of tone, and clarity of a decades-old instrument. Priced with Calton Case.

Online checkout is not available for this guitar. Payment by wire transfer or certified check only.
