The Hiwatt DR103 is one of the most iconic amplifiers in rock history, known for its powerful, clean tone and unmatched headroom. Introduced in the late 1960s, the DR103 became a staple for legendary guitarists like Pete Townshend and David Gilmour, who relied on its ability to deliver crystal-clear sound even at high volumes.
The SE212 Cabinet is the ideal choice for those who want to push serious air without the hassle of heavy lifting. Equipped with two 12-inch Fane speakers, it handles 150 watts of power (or 300 watts with Purpleback upgrades) and provides exceptional clean headroom. Its historically accurate construction features low-mounted speakers, enhancing low-frequency projection. This makes the SE212 the perfect balance between size and sound, delivering deep, detailed tone while saving you weight and effort at the gig.
The legendary Hiwatt preamp circuit and tonestack from the DR103/504, combined with a 20W output section (switchable down to 0.5W), delivers the classic Hiwatt headroom, clarity, fast response, and sonic depth. Experience rich tonal detail with just the right amount of breakup at both recording and club volumes, or switch to 0.5W for quieter settings like the greenroom.
All the iconic 60s British tone, now in a lightweight and portable package.
