"Tone Ranger Guitars grew from my love of the West: the culture, the environment, the music, and the history of the western American deserts and forests."
~ Jeff Mark Leavitt
Tone Ranger Guitars are as much about place and story as they are about tone and playability (which are excellent it should be noted).
Built by hand in Los Angeles by Jeff Mark Leavitt, each instrument draws its soul from the American West - its landscapes, history, and music - and carries with it a sense of stewardship for the land.
Every guitar is crafted from sustainably sourced, local “urban trees” harvested from LA and surrounding counties. These trees once shaded neighborhoods, lined city streets, and stood as part of the community before being reclaimed and given new life as tonewoods with a distinct voice all their own.
Instead of ending up as landfill, these rescued woods are transformed into inspiring, resonant instruments - guitars with character, history, and a uniquely Southern California spirit.
Built with premium components and boutique-grade pickups, every Tone Ranger feels alive in your hands: a seamless blend of artistry, sustainability, and the timeless magic of the West.
Sustainably Sourced Urban Tonewoods

Handcrafted, One-Builder Precision
Lovingly made in a one-man LA workshop, each guitar carries the fingerprints of a true craftsman, ensuring individuality, quality, and a personal connection to the build.
Inspired by the Spirit of the West
More than just instruments, Tone Ranger guitars are built with the culture, music, and landscapes of the American West in mind - rooted in heritage, yet designed to inspire wherever your journey takes you.
