Other T-Style guitars left you cold? Not ready to put down Masterbuilt level money? This is your guitar. It will exceed your expectations - Laurent's guitars always do.

Paris-born / Maine-based Laurent Brondel has become one of our favorite independent luthiers. Known for making both acoustic and electric guitars - and not just 'any old' acoustic and electric guitars. No, Laurent fuses each of his builds with so much soul and vibe, much like what you'd find in a cherished vintage guitar, that we instantly fall for each guitar of his that we play.

Case in point? This incredible circa 2023 Honeycaster T-Style. If you know your Teles, and we know you do, spec-wise you'll find the usual suspects - 25 1/2" scale, ash body, maple neck (though not just any maple neck, a gorgeous flame maple neck)...sounds about right, yes?

What's hard to convey in words and photos, is how this guitar feels and responds in-hand. It's such a resonant and lively feeling guitar. There's a wonderful snappiness to single note runs and the overall feel is on the slinky side (our preference, truth be told).

This snappiness translates beautifully through the Ron Ellis Julian Lage pickup set. All the twang you could ever want, coupled with an expanded dynamic range. They're touch sensitive pickups without being overly so and offer the right amount of 'push back', if that makes sense.

The soft V neck carve (.89-98") should feel right at home to pretty much every player. Not too fat, no too thin...it's truly just right. We thoroughly enjoyed our time on this guitar, and a large part of that was due to the neck. Wonderful stuff.
