This Custom Shop 1959 Stratocaster has definitely turned heads—staff and customers alike can't help but admire its authentic looks and vibe.
There's just something special about a well-worn Vintage Blonde Strat, especially when paired with a dark rosewood fretboard and an anodized pickguard - hooks us every time.
The wow factor continued when we sat down to take it for a spin. The roasted maple neck w/slab rosewood fingerboard sports - for us - the perfect 1959 D profile (.80-.98"). As you can see by those measurements, there's a very well executed taper to this profile. We've had a great '59 Strat (real one) in the shop and this neck reminds us a lot of that guitar's profile. Hats off to the Custom Shop for getting details like this right - it makes a huge difference in the overall feel and playability. Plus it's just cool to know that you own a guitar that's damned close to a real-deal vintage one...without having to sell your car to get it.
The Vintage Blonde alder body is loaded with Texas Special pickups, which are a perfect match for this guitar. The bridge pickup is hot, open, and delivers plenty of that classic Fender twang—so much so that you might not even miss your Telecaster. Meanwhile, the middle and neck pickups offer those glassy, scooped-mid tones that’ll have you channeling your inner SRV with a grin on your face.
