A nicely upgraded take on Martin's modern scallop-braced D-28.
If you're shopping for a Martin HD-28 and don't mind a few signs of playwear, this could well be you new guitar. All features are standard for an HD-28 with one big exception: that Adirondack Spruce top.
The voice of this guitar is clearer and throatier than a standard HD-28, with improved richness and sustain. The top shows a few very minor scratches, and some light swirling on the pickguard. The back shows similar wear on the bass side, where shirt buttons may have brushed against it.
Overall, the guitar presents excellently; and none of the aforementioned wear is visible unless the guitar is examined closely with reflected light. Priced with its original hardshell case (a Martin 545e, with black exterior and burgundy interior).
Please note: used instruments are, well, used. We pride ourselves on thoroughly vetting, and carefully photographing, each pre-owned instrument we sell, but many of them carry subtle signs of handling that can escape even the most discerning eye. If you have questions about the condition of this instrument, we invite you to call us for an in-hand description. We're here to help!
