We don't need to tell you - you already know this is the coolest short-scale bass we've got here in the shop.
Connor Kelly's introduction into the electric bass world has come by way of his most iconic Tomahawk guitar models. Sharing the same body as its 6-string brethren, this first-ever Tomahawk Bass brings that awesome feeling and playing short scale bass experience into the High Spirit lineup, and we're here for it.
Finished off in a dazzling Momo Red finish and paired up with custom "dalmatian" acrylic pickguard and control plate, it's the most eye-catching aesthetic we've probably had with ANY High Spirit instrument, and that's saying something!
The short scale feel is fantastic - super easy to play without feeling overly slinky. The neck had a familiar profile to the Full C carves we’ve becoming accustomed to with the guitars, and that makes it an easy transition for guitarists that also spend time playing bass. It's an incredibly lightweight bass too, coming in at about 5 3/4 lbs on our scale. Trust us, you won't find a bass much lighter than this one!
The split-coil pickup follows Connor’s electric guitar pickup design while paying homage to the classic Fender bass pickup. It’s got great output with some nice punch that sounds as good clean as it does with some drive in the chain.
Fun, fresh, and and exciting to play, we’re overjoyed with the results of Connor’s efforts to bring a great bass into the fold. More please!
Priced with hardshell case.
