Known as one of the mid powered Blackface-era offerings from Fender during this period, the Tremolux shared much of its DNA with the Vibrolux Reverb and Bandmaster amplifiers, albeit without reverb.
At 35 watts output via a pair of 6L6 power tubes, the tube-rectified Tremolux offers players a cleaner, more forgiving mid 60s Fender tone. Plugged into its original closed-back 2x10 cabinet with factory Oxford 10" speakers, the Tremolux remains bright and sparkly with nice focus and slightly more punch than 12" speakers a la the aforementioned Vibrolux.
The amplifier remains in excellent overall condition, with tolex and grill cloth showing little wear throughout. It's been serviced by one of our local trusted amp techs, Stan Day, who replaced some of the electrolytic and filter capacitors, upgraded the power cord to a 3 prong cable, and replaced a pair of worn out preamp tubes.
It includes its original brown "lamp cord" speaker cable, and all transformers are original to the amp. It is missing the original tremolo footswitch, but that does not affect use of the tremolo.
