Why We Love This

We have had the pleasure of hosting several of Bob Abrams' beautiful mandolin-family instruments in recent years. We are always struck by their wonderful sound, clean craftsmanship, and his choice of beautiful tone woods.

In keeping with other Celtic-styled mandolas, the Trillium features a relatively large body, in this case Sitka spruce paired with a lovely Black walnut back and sides. In combination with the 19" scale length and oval soundhole, the result is an instrument with a rich, very full voice with great bass extension, nice, glassy highs, and very satisfying sustain.

Refined aesthetic, stunning tonewoods, great warmth, and excellent playability–a lot to love!
