Taylor broke out their limited stock of AA-grade figured Hawaiian koa to build just 35 of these custom K24ce guitars, and the result is every bit as stunning as you could imagine.
Elements of the standard K24ce are there - the versatile Grand Auditorium size and shape, V-class bracing, Expression System 2 electronics, cutaway, beveled armrest - but with just a bit extra. On this custom model, they've let the natural beauty of the figured koa shine through with nothing but a sleek gloss finish, so you see every ripple and wave in the wood grain. Their sustainably sourced stock of West African ebony is beautifully used for everything from the fretboard to the peghead veneer, bridge, backstrip and armrest, for a nice contrast to the orange hue of the koa.
And the sound? Bright and breezy, with a focused midrange and sparkling treble that's perfect for strumming chords and vocal accompaniment. This deluxe package is completed with Taylor's Expression System 2 electronics and hard case from Taylor.
