It's easy to see why this stunning Omega, from renowned banjo builder Ome, was originally featured at the NAMM trade show in 2016. It is drop dead gorgeous and a show-stopper in every way! Since 2016 we've received only one or two other Ome Omegas, which makes a used one quite a rarity. It remains in excellent condition and bears only the faintest traces of prior ownership.
This instrument features hand engraved mother-of-pearl and abalone inlays by Glenn Carson, and a tone that simply has it all: warmth, clarity, projection and balance. Glenn is one of the most in-demand engravers, and even a cursory glance at this banjo will show you exactly why. Sonically speaking it's bright without being harsh, and round without being overly mellow. Playability is sublime, with a low profile neck featuring a smooth-feeling satin finish.
Ome is among the best banjo builders currently at work, and this heirloom quality instrument aptly demonstrates the full range of their talent.
