An Italian spruce top adds a little extra depth and sparkly top end to an already fantastic bluegrass mandolin from Northfield.

Featuring a slightly enlarged F5 body, the Big Mon is a particularly responsive, airy and open sounding instrument. With a touch more volume and bass response than Northfield's standard F5, this master model mandolin has plenty of power.

This is the first Italian Spruce-topped variant of the Big Mon we've had new in the shop, and it does not disappoint! Expect classic Northfield voicing, but with a hair more nuance and complexity, particularly in the top end of the frequency spectrum.
