The absence of a true OM in the current Authentic lineup, as well as the discontinuation of Madagascar Rosewood from Martin's options list, makes a pre-owned OM-28 Authentic a highly desirable guitar. Featuring a VTS Adirondack Spruce top, hide glue construction, and period correct bracing under a super-thin finish, the OM-28 Authentic 1931 offers features (and tone) typically only seen on an instrument twice its price. Ah, the good old days!
This particular guitar remains in very good condition, with only minor signs of handling. There are no significant or unsightly blemishes, scrapes, or cracks -- only a few tiny dings and pick marks will let you know it's been played. The setup remains excellent as well, with healthy saddle height and action sitting just where it should: at 3/32" (bass side) and 2/32" (treble side) under tension of light gauge strings. This is a great sounding example of the model, with a thick, robust voice, and lots of power under a flatpick. Priced with its original hard case. On consignment.
