This 2009 Martin D-28 1941 Museum Edition is one of 48 instruments produced in what some call a pre-cursor to the D-28 Authentic 1941. To produce the D-28 1941 Museum Edition, Martin copied a -- you guessed it -- 1941 D-28 housed in their museum. Features include Madagascar Rosewood back & sides, Adirondack Spruce top, Authentic style bracing, hide glue construction, rear-shifted X placement, and non-adjustable T-bar neck support. The sound is big, wide open, and penetrating, with a very admirable recreation of the powerful burst of air one often encounters when playing 1941 & 1942 D-28 models. This guitar is in excellent condition, with only the faintest signs of handling, and is priced with its original hard case. On consignment.

  • Madagascar Rosewood back & sides
  • Adirondack Spruce top
  • Authentic style scalloped bracing (rear X)
  • Ebony fingerboard & bridge
  • 1 11/16" Nut width
  • 25.4" Scale length
  • 2 1/8" String spacing
  • Waverly Tuners
  • Original hard case
