This 1952 Martin 00-18 is something of an alien in the vintage collection here at TME: it's so good, we often find ourselves thinking, "Can it really be JUST a 50's guitar?" And you're right, we shouldn't treat these lovely little boxes like they're anything less than stellar. This instrument comes to us from a trusted client, a touring musician and songwriter who's recorded and gigged with this instrument for years. And it's no wonder it's captivated him (and audiences alike): it's beautiful, singing tone, lightness of build, and fat response make it one of those guitars that'll swallow up a few hours like nothing at all once you give it a strum. Condition is close to vintage-mint: very little in the way of cosmetic wear, with a solid structure and all its original parts intact. It was outfitted with a Sunrise pickup at one point, and the internal housing remains (it's removable). Priced with a Calton Case, this is a fantastic choice for anyone in the market for a small-bodied vintage guitar. On consignment.
