“You can follow many trails searching for a fine original or replica Strat, but it’s doubtful you’ll find anything that sounds or plays better than the Grosh.“ ~Guitar Player

Why We Love This

What's immediately striking about this guitar is the realization that Don Grosh has apparently always known how to make an incredible guitar - no matter what era it comes from. All the Grosh hallmarks are present...a fantastic vintage-minded neck carve, impeccable fretwork (only shows the tinniest bit of wear), killer tones, and the 50s style sunburst looks amazing.

Another Grosh hallmark is effortless playability and killer Strat tones. This Retro Classic predates the time Don was making his own pickups and thus is stocked with awesome sounding Fralin Blues Specials. These pickups were designed to dial back the top end just a touch while also providing a fatter tone. There are no anemic bridge pickup tones on this beauty - instead, you're presented with fat, stinging, beautifully compressed bridge pickup tones and all the classic Strat "cluck" and chime you could ever want in the other positions.
