Why We Love This

"Nimble" is not often a word we use to describe a mandocello, but this Dave Harvey-signed K-5C has us rethinking a lot of assumptions. This is not your grandparents' mandolin orchestra 'cello. It has all the low-end whomp you want , but does so with a beautiful balance, and—dare we say—ease that makes it a blast to play. The label indicates this is #1, and may, indeed, be the only extant example. The instrument comes to us in excellent overall condition, with a well-worn original hard case.
