The venerable Gibson ES-175 is perhaps the most popular electric archtop produced since its release in 1949, with production still continuing today. This 2009 model represents the more sought-after configuration with its twin humbucker pickups, and features an ABR-1 bridge atop the floating Rosewood bridge base, offering more control over setup and intonation.
The stock Classic '57 humbuckers aim at achieving early PAF tone, with a clear top end response, musical compression, and great dynamic response. Clean tones are absolutely wonderful, with the ability to go from authentic mellow jazz tones with the neck pickup to a more robust fundamental attack in the bridge position.
Condition: Very Good+. The guitar shows signs of play wear throughout via minor surface scuffs, finish swirls, and a few small bumps on the back of the body. However, frets are very clean and show very little wear if any. All original throughout and set up with roundwound 12 gauge strings, playability is superb, with great acoustic volume, resonance, and sustain.
