The Music Emporium is thrilled to offer this Froggy Bottom H-12 50th Anniversary model -- a stunning, best-of-the-best materials guitar featuring 5A-graded Brazilian Rosewood back and sides and an 80-year old German Spruce top. We've been friends with Michael Millard for a long time, and congratulate him on an illustrious career. The woods used to build this instrument were hand-picked by Joe and Adam from TME on their last visit to Mr. Millard's workshop; and while his 5A-graded stash of Brazilian Rosewood is typically reserved for custom builds, we were able to pry this set away from the pile. Other features include hand-engraved inlays by Glenn Carson and a lovely whale's tail scrimshaw (something else we haven't been able to order in quite a while). How's it sound? As you'd expect -- extraordinary. The H-12 is a perennial favorite around TME (even owned by some staff members!), and seems to have the perfect balance of comfort and fullness. The wonderful tonewoods on this guitar simply produce it all: warmth, sparkle, overtones and power -- with great bass, full, rich mids and a fat treble register. A lifetime guitar for anyone who loves acoustic instruments, and an instrument we're proud to have in the shop.
