Paging Johnny Greenwood!
This rare bird known as the Telecaster Deluxe Plus has just landed here on consignment, and we've frankly forgotten just how utterly cool these late 80s and early 90s 'Deluxe' variants can be.
One of the earlier "hot rod" production Telecasters to come out of the Fender factory, the Deluxe Plus is loaded with a number of features that made these incredibly versatile instruments for a tele fan that wanted more range and capability out of this style of guitar. A Blue Lace Sensor single coil pickup complements a Red Lace Sensor Humbucker in the bridge position, complete with a factory mini toggle switch for coil splitting capabilities. The two-point tremolo system works great and also features a Tremsetter.
What's really cool about this Deluxe Plus is the grain of the Ash. It's got this water fountain-like bookmatch that is quite stunning. Featuring such a nice body with the less common Natural finish was definitely the right move!
Condition: Excellent. This guitar has been very well cared for and shows it. Minimal play wear throughout with some light surface scratches on the back of the guitar. Light pick wear on the pickguard, and light play wear on the neck. Frets are clean with light wear mostly in the 1st position. The original pearloid guard was slightly altered at the cutout of the control plate.
Priced with original hardshell case.
