This beautiful 1983 Fender Precision Bass in factory Black finish with white pickguard and matching white-covered split coil pickup marks the end of the true Fullerton Era for Fenders. Built along the same specs as CBS-era instruments, this P-bass has all the great hallmarks of the famous 4-string.
This is a truly wonderful example that is almost entirely original save for the strap buttons. The body does show signs of light to moderate wear via some buckle rash on the back and some light finish swirls and scratches as well as some small nicks and dimples in the finish. The pickguard is crack-free with some moderate pick wear. The neck is very clean with just light fret wear (these cleaned up wonderfully in-house) and fully functional original tuners. The bass comes in its original black rectangle hardshell case that is also very clean with intact latches and a clean interior.
Nearing its 40th birthday, this is a truly great example of a complete early 80s Precision Bass that delivers no-nonsense low end punch and power with ease.
