A no nonsense 2012 AVRI Strat that nails the feel of golden era Strats.
Why We Love This
We've always loved the AVRI (American Vintage Reissue) line from Fender. Something about these guitars just capture everything we need, want, and love about a great Strat.
Our love is no doubt centered around the ultra comfy D shaped neck carve and 7 1/4" fingerboard radius - which to our hands, feels quite a bit like some of the late 50s vintage Fenders we've had come through the shop.
"7 1/4 radius? Uh oh, I bend too much for that to work."
We hear you friend, but this guitar simply doesn't suffer from fretting out with heavy bending (rounder radius fretboards can be prone to this just do to the geometry involved). It should be noted that the setup feels fantastic and not ultra high either.
As a point of reference, if you have played the Eric Johnson Strats and like what they played and felt like but wish the fingerboard wasn't quite as flat? This might be the Strat you're looking for!
