Attention to detail is the name of the game here and the results are tangible, audible, and ultimately very, very inspiring.
New Hampshire-based D'Pergo Guitars make incredibly high-level Fender-style guitars with one goal in mind: to build the finest, best sounding, best playing guitar money can buy.
This well cared for Studio Soft Top is painted in a gorgeous Midnight Metallic Blue and features an Alder body, certified aged maple neck with an African rosewood fingerboard, hand-wound D'Pergo pickups in a HSS configuration, and a 2-post modern bridge w/1018 steel block.
The overall vibe leans in a refined, modern direction but still retails a ton of soul, vibe, feel, tone...that intangible element that makes a guitar great is here in spades. It's a solid feeling guitar with incredible resonance and the neck is easily one of the highlights.
The neck is finished in a satin urethane that feels amazing to play on. It's immediately comfy and broken-in feeling with a slight texture to it, and the .910" Vintage Offset carve is perfection - moderately chunky with a slightly narrow width (1 5/8" nut width and 12" radius).
All of these details are in the service of one goal - tone - and this guitar sounds fantastic. This is where the D'Pergo philosophy of "spare no expense" comes into focus and shows its merit. The tones are 3-dimensional, muscular, clear, bell-like, super touch sensitive...
