Description
t's hard to say the words "semi-hollow electric" and not think of the ES-335. It's become an iconic vintage staple since its introduction to the electric guitar market in 1958, and gained further legendary status when Gibson started finishing these models in their own Cherry Red finish.
Fast forward 60 years and counting, and the color that adorns this model and other classics is still as popular as ever.
With Collings entering the electric game in the mid 2000s, they've since elevated this classic and desirable semi-hollow design with their own amazing interpretation. At a quick glance, this Faded Cherry I-35LC presents itself in all of those old familiar vintage ways, but has a slightly smaller body and a sleek, streamlined aesthetic that undoubtedly attributed to Collings' high-level build and finish approach.
This particular example is in on consignment with us and it's is in excellent condition, with some very minor finish wear on the rear of the guitar and the back of the neck, and some light pick wear on the pickguard. The stock Lollar Low Wind Imperial humbuckers sound excellent, with great clarity and a more vintage PAF vibe, well suited for this style of guitar.
