Description

We wait a long time for each Circa guitar we receive from luthier, John Slobod; so we jumped at the chance to host this pre-owned Brazilian Rosewood D-28. This is as close to a bona fide herringbone replica as Slobod makes (and he doesn't make too many dreadnoughts -- period). Master grade tonewoods (Brazilian Rosewood and Adirondack Spruce), impeccable craftsmanship and the sound -- file that under 'what more could you want?' The voicing is early 30's Martin spec, resulting in a booming low end, with great clarity, volume, sparkle and not separation. This is a powerhouse D-28, that would be perfectly at home anchoring a bluegrass band yet rewards a sensitive attack with a sweet & complex tone. Overall condition is near-mint -- and honestly, we're only including 'near' because it is technically pre-owned. You simply won't find a cleaner example of a Circa D-28. A world-class guitar in every way, and a slam dunk if you're looking for a special D-28 style guitar. Priced with TKL hard case -- please inquire if you'd like to upgrade to a Calton
