This pre-owned Chanterelle Whyte Laydie is a wonderful homage to classic  early 20th century Fairbanks banjos. Appomattox, VA banjo builder, Mike Ramsey, did wonderful work and artfully infused Old World designs with modern craftsmanship.

This particular custom banjo has a 12" maple pot with nickel hardware and some lovely fingerboard and peghead inlays. The tea-stained goat skin head was an ugrade made by  the previous owner and lends a warmer, pluckier tone to what is ordinarily a bright sounding banjo. The mahogany neck also hearkens back to vintage instruments with a more pronounced V profile.

  • 12" Pot
  • 25.5" Scale length
