Laurent Brondel's guitars have become very highly regarded by all of us at TME over the last few years. Their combination of woody power and glassy sparkle is just what we like to hear in a modern guitar that walks its own path without disowning tradition. This A2 (essentially, Brondel's OM shape) features Mahogany back & sides and a Carpathian Spruce top, providing a new twist on the classic OM-18 platform. This is a great (let's repeat that ~ great) sounding guitar, with all the depth of tone, richness, and fundamental power one could ask for. And best of all, it's had 15 years to loosen up, during which time its response has acquired a beautiful, fat, quickness.
Condition: well-played, but well-cared for. This guitar sports a varnish finish, the softness of which does make it a bit more susceptible to imprinting from picks, fingernails, etc. As such, you'll certainly find scattered small top dings, and a couple small marks on the back as well. The neck is clean, and the setup is excellent. It should also be clarified that none of the wear on this guitar is apparent from even a foot away: you'll have to look very closely under refracted light to find the aforementioned playwear. Priced with an Access hardshell case.
