Description

Gorgeous pre-owned mandola made by famed luthier, Johann Brentrup. Inspired by the mandolins signed by Lloyd Loar, Brentrup's "Classic" series encapsulates all the tone and vibe of an instrument from the 1920's. This one is powerful, woody, and deep with plenty of low end. The scale length is a slightly shorter 15 9/16" and the nut width is 1 1/8" -- which makes it feel very mandolin-like. This instrument has seen very little play time, and it's in overall excellent condition aside from a few marks consistent with normal use. Hans's signature finish is a spirit varnish over oil violin varnish; and the top coats always check over time. An amazing instrument, and incredibly rare to boot. Priced with hardshell case.
