Description
German guitar makers Rudie Blazer & Willi Henkes have a well-warranted reputation for making some of the world's finest replicas of golden-era flattops. When we used to be able to stock them new, there were few days anticipated more eagerly than those on which we'd receive our annual Blazer & Henkes delivery. Since they focus exclusively on custom instruments these days, it's a rare treat to have one in the shop! And though this is a pre-owned guitar, it's so clean that it might as well be our yearly allotment. This D-42 features their standard European Spruce top & Brazilian Rosewood body, alongside classic pre-war Martin style-42 appointments. The hand-cut pearl inlays are executed with expertise of the highest caliber, and the neck carve is a dead ringer for a mid-30s Martin dreadnought. We won't bore you with a flowery description of this guitar's sound. Suffice it to say: if you've read hyperbolic praise for Blazer & Henkes guitars online, you can believe the hype. They've got warmth and sweetness of tone that's nearly impossible to find in a new guitar; and this one's got all the cosmetic trimmings to boot. Priced with Superior brand hard case.
