We love what John Suhr and crew have done with this Classic S Custom. If you're new to Suhr guitars, you can expect flawless build quality, some of the best fret work in the industry, super comfy neck carves, effortless playability, and an overall more modern approach to the classic Strat.

What can't be overstated is just how comfortable this guitar is to play. Deluxe, luxurious, effortless...are are terms that come to mind when sitting down for a session with it. The "Even C Medium" neck carve, coupled with the satin finish, is a highlight on this guitar. Simply put, guitars don't get much more comfortable or easy to play.

When played acoustically, this Classic S Custom has a solid, snappy feel to it. The stainless frets certainly add to the snap and responsive feel, but we noticed no difference in tone when plugged in. Speaking of which, into our Carr Skylark, we were able to coax a wide range of modern, beautifully compressed Strat tones that work great either clean or overdriven.
