The VJ is Santa Cruz Guitar Co.'s take on the classic slope-shouldered dread, in a beautifully executed sunburst finish. This example, from 2009, boasts all the big, low-midrange thump you can ask for, with clear, round treble strings to match. This guitar has visible signs of playwear and prior ownership, mostly in the form of surface scratches, but is overall in solid structural condition. It is a great sounding guitar in what we would classify as players-grade condition. Very fun, capable rhythm specialist--a songwriter's dream companion.
