Why should you love this one? In a word? Tone. This beautifully constructed Santa Cruz OM features a Redwood top salvaged from a network of Oregonian railroad tunnels over quilted Mahogany from "The Tree." Does a pairing of legendary tonewoods amount to anything more than a cute story? Well, in this case it does. While a Redwood top won't provide dynamic range and brightness like Spruce will, it does provide an incredibly warm, round fundamental note. If you're a fingerstyle guitar player looking for maximum clarity that doesn't come at the fault of tonal depth, this may well be your lifetime guitar. It takes beautifully to a relaxed flatpick as well; but it's not the sort of guitar we'd imagine a heavy strummer picking out of a lineup.
This instrument would rightfully be deemed "certified pre owned" ~ its cosmetic condition couldn't be cleaner, and it's priced with its original hard case. On consignment. Expedited shipping only at online checkout.
