Just in on consignment is a beautiful Santa Cruz D-12 Fret Custom! Based on the earliest dreadnought style with 12 frets clear of the body, this D-12 packs some serious punch, volume, and fundamental clarity that this style of build is known for.
The combination of Sitka and Mahogany in this build offers rich, powerful tone with clear top end and an extended low midrange that gives it such a strong voice that is still warm. It features some beautiful "custom" elements like the Picasso Dove inlay on the peghead and the 'SCGC' inlaid at the 12th fret, along with a herringbone purfling that is repeated at the rosette for some extra dimension and aesthetic touch.
It's been very well cared for with light signs of prior use (one notable nick on the bass side adjacent to the neck heel), all while still having opened up nicely in the 10 years it's been around.
Includes original Ameritage hardshell case.
