The extra string on this banjo is a low G and despite having 6-strings it otherwise tunes like a standard 5-String banjo. This gives the banjo an unusually deep and resonant lower register which has beguiled everyone who has picked it up. It's tremendous fun to play and explore new and familiar tunes with, and the Tubaphone tone ring gives it a wonderful amount of volume with lots of dimension and possibility.
