The semi-hollow Miris features a set of Fralin P90 pickups, a swamp ash semi-hollow body, a 25 1/2" scale, and a roasted maple/rosewood neck. This combination delivers great top-end bite while maintaining warmth and fatness, creating a unique blend of compression, punch, and articulation. Clean tones sound beautiful through Fender-style amps (which was just what we happened to be plugged into), and the overdriven tones retain the punch and snarl characteristic of a great P90.

We can't say enough about the comfort and playability of these guitars. They are lively and responsive, acoustically loud when played without an amp, and feature a perfectly rounded, broken-in feeling medium C neck carve (.83" @ the 1st fret).

The unique body shape of the Miris positions the neck in such a way that makes it feel like a short-scale guitar even though they are long-scale builds, providing a comfortable playing experience with little reaching for those cowboy chords required when seated. The upper fret access is exceptional, making it ideal for lead work.

Final thoughts? You really get the impression that the Novo team has a blast making these guitars - you can just feel it when you sit down with one. Before you know it, an hour has passed, your finger tips are sore, your ears are ringing...and you're grinning ear to ear. But that's the whole point, no?
