This pre-owned Northfield Big Mon is part of a limited run of instruments made between 2018-2019 which featured "Artist" level appointments on an otherwise standard Big Mon body. This particular mandolin features exceptionally figured Maple, a warmer tobacco sunburst, and a thin varnish finish -- all akin to what you'd expect to see on one of Northfield's 2-Bar or 5-Bar Artist models. Its overall condition is excellent: no significant cosmetic blemishes, no significant ware on any of the hardware, and no fret wear either. The sound is exceptionally open and powerful ~ this would be an excellent mandolin for a bluegrass player who needs thump to power a loud acoustic ensemble and thick trebles for soloing. Priced with its original hard case.
