The Huber Dolphin II is Nik Huber's take on the "Tele/Paul" concept - a perfect melding of a Tele body shape with the set-neck construction, woods choices, bridge style, and dual humbucker configuration.
With wide and deep figuring, the curly maple top showcases the richness of the beautiful satin-finished Tiger Eye finish. Contrasted with the natural warmth of the mahogany body and neck, the guitar feels about as silky as it looks.
Playability is consistent with other Hubers that have graced our shop. The full C neck carve is substantial while also remaining quite comfortable. Fretwork is superb, and the low/medium action affords everything from chordal and rhythm work to speedy lines and more melodic-driven playing.
The custom wound Haussel pickups provide big, broad, and clear tones with great dynamic range and response, with the addition of a push/pull coil tap adding to the guitar's versatility.
Condition: Excellent. Little to no signs of prior ownership.
Lightweight, powerful, refined, and sleek. This Huber is a true testament to what Nik and his team are able to accomplish with their builds. Priced with a deluxe hardshell case.
