Description
We sold this Monteleone Grand Artist a couple years ago; and the owner has placed it with us on consignment after acquiring a vintage mandolin. This particular Grand Artist has a full, round sound that blooms before it dies ~ almost reminiscent of an oval hole mandolin with modern projection. It remains in excellent condition, and very well setup -- only bearing the standard signs of wear one would expect on a 25-year-old mandolin. This fine example of Monteleone's work perfectly demonstrates what he was chasing with the Grand Artist; and it's proof that sometimes perfecting the wheel is the finest way to reinvent it. With Calton Case.
