Description
We are proud to host this exceptional Monteleone Grand Artist mandolin! As with many of the best mandolins, this instrument truly transcends genre boundaries. Played with a light-to-medium pick attack, the mandolin offers a very warm, inviting, punchy tone with the kind of rolled-off trebles that make any jazz mandolin player swoon. Dig in harder and you will be rewarded with a very satisfying, percussive chop. Double-stop tremolos sing and single-note lines boast big body and strong sustain.
Monteleone's modern aesthetic has always held great appeal. A lustrous Violin Red finish is further accentuated by wood and binding upgrades - something not often seen on the Grand Artist models. The condition is excellent and the set up is impeccably smooth all the way up the neck. If you have been waiting for a special Monty to hit the market, look no further - this mandolin is one-of-a-kind and represents the very best John has to offer. Circa 2000 build.
Priced with Paganoni hard-shell case.
