This excellent sounding Martin HD-28V is just into the shop on trade! The now-discontinued "Vintage Series" formerly included this HD-28 variant, which features a forward-shifted X brace and 1930's style appointments like a tortoise pickguard and long, cut-through saddle. This guitar would be a fantastic first Martin for a flatpicker ready for a bona-fide D-28!
Condition: we'd call it "very good, plus." This guitar has been dormant, in a case, for the last few years (it was brought to us by a local customer who'd inherited it from the estate of a friend). To look at the guitar from a couple feet away, you'd think it was new old stock. But a close inspection will reveal a little bit of playwear and a few whisper lines of finish checking on the top (these are virtually invisible unless you angle the guitar in reflected light). Bottom line? This is a player's guitar -- not an instrument for someone who wants minty clean, but a great sounding D-28 for anyone not intensely focused on cosmetics. Priced with its original case.
