This 1972 Martin D-28 is just into the shop on trade! It's an excellent player's guitar for a musician who's not interested in the brighter sound of a new instrument (remember this guitar is 52 years old!). It's been played a lot during those years, and sounds very full and balanced -- plenty of power for the roles a D-28 traditionally plays, but plenty of sweetness for delicate fingerstyle guitar and recording as well!
Condition: as mentioned, this guitar has been played; and it isn't a candidate for anyone looking for minty fresh condition. The neck has been reset by local luthier, Dan Armstrong. The bridge and pickguard are older replacements. There are small cracks on either side of the pickgaurd, which are stable and don't require any work at this time. The top finish shows expected lacquer checking, alongside scattered dings and pick wear consistent with regular use. The guitar is priced with a period hardshell case (not a Martin case, though arguably nicer than the thermoplastic one which would've come with it when it was new).
