What To Know
The Martin OM-45 is considered by many to be the quintessential finger style guitar. Introduced in the early 1930s, well before the first D-45, it was Martin's most ornate and expensive guitar. And while the D-45 soon overshadowed the OM as the king of flattops, the OM-45 has always held a special place at our shop. in fact, it was TME and OM connoisseur, Eric Schoenberg, who brought the OM-45 back into the Martin line-up in the late 1970s. Since then, it's been re-released in various incarnations but never as a stock Martin model. Here is our latest collaboration with Martin Custom Shop, a gorgeous 45-Style OM with premium Adirondack spruce and Indian rosewood body. We've stayed pretty true to vintage specs without going full Authentic and the sound is as good as we've heard from any new 45 out there. Nothing over the top here, just classic 45-style appointments, exceptional tonewoods, and the Custom Shop's attention to detail and unwavering passion for creating timeless masterpieces.
Please note: we sold this guitar when it was new, one year ago. The original owner hasn't played it much, and it remains in excellent condition, with hardly any signs of prior handling. Price includes the original hard case.
