Description

This lovely sounding 1930 Martin 00-42 exhibits all the characteristics everyone obsessed with vintage Martins demands: lightness of build, boldness of tone, and responsiveness to the lightest touch. It's likely that at some point in the past, the whole guitar was oversprayed; but we've just had TJ Thompson matte the finish down, and it presents beautifully. Other repairs by TJ include a partial refret, PLEK treatment, and re-shaping of a previously replaced bridge to more correct 1930 specs. We could wax on about the sound of this stunning little guitar, but instead -- hit the video tab to listen to Lindsay Straw pull some serious tone from it. Priced with non-original hard case. On consignment.
