The 00-28VS, part of Martin's now-discontinued "Vintage Series," offers players looking for the tone and aesthetics of a late 1920's guitar a compelling modern alternative. Featuring a wide 1 13/16" nut width, and 2 5/16" string spacing, the 00-28VS is perfectly suited for both fingerpickers and flatpickers interested in a small-bodied guitar for exploring traditional music in the style of Norman Blake.
This is an exceptionally nice & warm sounding 00-28VS that should only be considered by players unafraid of cosmetic bumps and bruises. The guitar was purchased new, in 2009, at TME; and it's been played hard ever since that time. There are numerous top dings, shirt button scratches, and scattered signs of pick wear across the guitar's surfaces. The neck has areas of worn finish on its top shoulder, where one's thumb would wrap over the fingerboard (most noticeable in the first position). In short? This is a player's guitar, with wonderful sound and playability. Priced with its original hard case.
