This wonderful 1937 Martin 00-17 has come into TME several times over the years (it's been in the Boston area for a long while now). It was formerly owned by a touring country musician; and his family has decided it's time for the next steward to take possession of this weathered beauty. Play wear and road scars? Yes. Mismatched tuners? Yes. Do we care? Well, not really. This is one of those guitars you love for what it is; and the tone is simply as good as it gets in an all-mahogany guitar. Matthew Arcara reset the neck and installed a new bridge in 2016 (the original bridge is included, though it's no longer usable). Neck angle is still good, and the guitar plays easily up and down the fingerboard. Priced with a vintage Geib hard case -- it's a bit big for this guitar, but feels like part of its story, so we've elected to leave it be. Please call and ask for Andy if you'd like to discuss this guitar.
