Walnut sometimes gets overlooked in today's guitar market full of exotic (imported) tonewoods, but like Sitka spruce and Big Leaf maple, in the right hands a walnut guitar can be pure tonal magic. George Lowden alway has a few extraordinary sets stashed away for a special guitar and this S-35 is indeed special. While your everyday walnut guitar can sound thin and one-dimensional, the tone of this guitar is complex, balanced, earthy and multi-dimensional while also possessing a shimmering clarity.  As with most Lowden guitars there's always more to it than meets the eye and once you start playing it,  it's hard to put down.  A wonderfully new and unique offering from one of our favorite builders.
