Outstanding Lawrence Smart F-5 just landed! Several of our favorite players, friends, teachers, and musical heroes have owned and loved Smart mandolin-family instruments. Hearing this F-5, it is easy to understand the appeal. A modified X-bracing—Smart's original design—supports an Engelmann spruce top, voiced for a full, warm tonal palette, with an almost scooped midrange. A full, rounded D neck profile and a compound-radiused fingerboard makes for very inviting, easy feel. Some very light wear (possibly under the original finish); otherwise in very good overall condition. Late 2020 build date.
